Tornado and Performance tips are hand-assembled in a 12-step process using the best quality natural rubber with only 10% clay mixed in as versus 40-60% clay with other major brands. Encapsulated inside each tip is a thick pad of Absorbalite shock absorbing gel polymer. Up to three times your body weight is cast upon your shoulders with each step you take. This "crutch shock" not only tires you out day to day but over the long-haul destroys cartilage, bone, tendons and nerves. Performance and Tornado tips help protect you from these deleterious effects. They also provide superior traction because the full bottom of these tips bend over and engage the ground, even at very steep crutch angles.

The primary differences between our two tips are ones of size and weight. Performance tips with their 2-3/8" base diameter and an approximate weight of 8 ounces will usually out-wear ordinary tips 3 to 5 times over. These tips are best utilized by people who weight over 165 lbs.

Tornado tips have a 2" base diameter and a weight of approximately 4 ounces each should last 2-3 times longer than ordinary tips. we recommend these tips for those that weight less then 165 lbs. In the long run our tips are very cost effective.
When adding in the shock absorbing protection they give to your hands, wrists, arms and shoulders not found in standard tips, I truly believe they will keep us walking longer and feeling better.

RainBoot are the next generation of our Rain Rings. They have been designed to have the same amazing wet-slip resistance as our Rain Rings but also to eliminate the delaminating problem associated with the old Rain Rings.

Attention: RainDisc are not slip-proof, but they will greatly reduce the number and severity of falls associated with wet smooth surfaces.

Because new RainBoots cover the entire bottom of the Tornado tip, there is much more surface area to bond. We use an aggressive flexible adhesive that will keep the RainBoot and the Tornado tip securely bonded together...no more lost Rain Rings!

RainBoots increase the base diameter of our Tornado tip by 1/4" to 2-1/4". This means increased wear…and traction area which is especially good on wet smooth surfaces. It also increases the snowshoe effect when walking on soft sandy beaches.
